A young boy is being praised for his quick thinking after saving his father’s life when a car fell on top of him. It happened when Stephen Parker and his two sons, Mason and J.T., began working on a car in their backyard. The car had been so heavy that both Stephen and Mason (then 17 years old) needed to work together to jack it up. A few minutes into the work, the older son Mason cut himself and went inside the house, leaving J.T., then just 8 years old, outside alone with his dad.
Stephen was underneath the car, attempting to fix the car’s axle. All of a sudden the jack gave out, and the car fell. Stephen was trapped underneath, unable to breathe. “I was totally trapped,” he recalled.
